I can't even begin to tell you everything that's wrong with her. She's had spinal issues since she was 13 years old, and so she's dealt with chronic pain for most of her life. So in the end, Io is not dead but chose to stay by MC side forever, if MC never wake up, so be it.Ģ) I don't know how long, but very very long, enough for the sea to dry up, but why is that scientist Dominic who knew Silva and lived through the war, no one explained and since it's just a side quest I think the devs just like "hey let's throw some humans in so they don't forget our existence". The statue form is not true death, throughout the game you can save other successors from dying if you weave back their memories, give back their humanity. In the neutral end, MC have to maintain the mist forever, but Io knew one day MC will eventually wake up, so she chose to hibernate. Back to Io, in the bad end, MC sacrificed, she don't have the memories that make she special therefore like any other attendants, she gave up. That's why when their successors die, attendants lost their will to live and just "refuse to exist", some of them felt helpless watching their successors frenzied, get corrupted and turn Lost. I don't recall any of them need bloodbead to maintain themselves, imo attendants exist by sole will, to ease their successors' suffering at any cost. Is it just because the Queen bleeds all over you? Most signs point to a very long time - the look of the environment, Mido's talk about evolution and the horrors gaining power outside the wall, and the talk about killing and replacing Successors as they frenzy. Why does Io die in the bad and normal endings? Like, everything seems totally fine, she's just laying there. There's a few things that just aren't adding up to me here:ġ) Start with the endings I guess.
