Ice Age: The Meltdown is a 2006 American computer-animated adventure comedy film produced by Blue Sky Studios and distributed by 20th Century Fox.It is the sequel to Ice Age (2002) and the second installment in the Ice Age film series. A vulture tells them that there is a boat at the other end of the valley that may save them, but they must reach it in three days. This time around the Ice Age is over and is starting to melt, which will destroy their valley. Manny, Sid, and Diego quickly learn that the warming climate has one major drawback: a huge glacial dam is about to break, threatening the entire valley. The trio discovers that the ice wall is actually a dam that is barely holding a reservoir that could flood the valley if it fails. Diego, Manny and Sid return in this sequel to the hit Ice Age.
The characters in the film go on a journey of self discovery, overcoming their fears and the sense of the unknown on the way. Plot Manny, Sid, and Diego live in a valley surrounded by a high ice wall on all sides. Things change quickly, though, when unlikely friends Manny (the woolly mammoth), Sid (the sloth) and Diego (the saber-toothed tiger).

With their habitat under threat from flooding caused by the ending of the ice age, unlikely friends Manny the woolly mammoth, Diego the sabre-toothed tiger, and Sid the sloth set out on a quest to find a boat that is rumoured to be at the other end of the valley.
